Hat from the collection of Marilyn Grassoff, who, with her husband, producer Alex Grassoff, co-owned the famous "G-spot" house in the Hollywood Hills where the Beastie Boys lived while working on their "Paul's Boutique" album. While renting the property from the Grassoffs, the group famously raided Marilyn's closets and her collection of vintage 70s clothing, and wore her more flamboyant outfits and accessories, including fur-lined garments, polyester shirts, and hats, to photo shoots, video shoots, Hollywood clubs and private parties.
