Robert Kerlan Estate, Brentwood-Los Angeles

World-renowned as the father of modern sports medicine, Kerlan became Dodgers' first team doctor when they first moved to LA from Brooklyn in 1958.  Kerlan went on to also become the team physician for LA's Rams, Lakers, and Kings teams as well as the race jockeys at Hollywood Park and numerous Hollywood actors.  Kerlan diagnosed Dodgers star pitcher Sandy Koufax with traumatic arthritis in his left elbow.  He also treated Wilt Chamberlain, tennis star Rod Laver and jockey Willie Shoemaker.
