First of two blue vases by Pieter Groeneveldt (1889-1982), Dutch artist, ceramist, and poet whose work from the 40s and 50s is often associated with mid-century modern design. Signed on bottom with distinctive "PG Made in Holland" mark. Very good-excellent condition, with 1-2 tiny rim chips and a few dark pits that occur naturally in the process of making the "lava" textured finish.
